Armando Cervantes


Armando Cervantes (aka “Armambo”) has a B.A. in Communication Studies from the Universidad de Las Américas Puebla and graduated with honors with his thesis “Salsa as a Social Phenomenon of Cultural Identity”.

He started his musical and salsa journey with Danzón 20 years ago. Since 2003, Armando participated with the organization for the first Acapulco International Salsa Congress, and he was part of the main staff of several editions of the LA Salsa Congress, ESPN World Salsa Championships and the Vegas Salsa Congress.

He is now the promoter of Mambito’s Salsa Social in Mexico and Master of Ceremonies of the most important Salsa Congresses in Mexico as well as the Las Vegas Salsa Congress.

Since 2013, Armando has been invited by several Salsa Congresses throughout Mexico to teach seminars about History of Salsa , Musical Appreciation and Musicality & Music Theory for Dancers.  In October 2017, he created the Mambito’s Salsa Orchestra.

Troy Anthony

Troy Anthony has been a premier dancer, teacher, performer, promoter, and emcee for several years. Troy has an uncanny knack of entertaining the crowd as an emcee or in his social rally. He has helped change the face of the scene with the discovery of many top talents. He is known for the Creole style, a mixture of LA.-N.Y style with a Cuban style presence. He is a Salsa computer with an extensive knowledge of history alongside his solid dance skills.
